Laurence Zitvogel, MD, is a professor of immunology and biology at Paris University (Université de Paris Saclay). An oncologist and researcher at Institut Gustave Roussy since 1995, she is internationally renowned for her work in anti-tumor immunology; she has led Phase I and Phase II clinical studies in cancer immunotherapy and deciphered the mechanisms of immunogenic tumor death triggered by cytotoxic agents used in oncology and the role of the microbiota in immuno-oncology. She founded everImmune biotech Cie. Laurence Zitvogel is also Research Director at INSERM (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale) and Co-Director of the Center of Clinical Investigations of Biotherapies, a common venture between Institut Gustave Roussy and INSERM. She holds numerous prizes and awards (amongst them the INSERM Research Prize, Baillet Latour Prize, ARC Griffuel Prize) and is Officier de la Légion d’Honneur and a member of the Académie de Médecine.
